Hsai-Yang
Fang Research Award
Any
individual who submits an original paper that is/was presented
at one of the conferences/symposia held under the auspices of the
International Society of Environmental Geotechnology (ISEG) within
the previous two years, will be eligible for the Hsai-Yang Fang
Research Award of the International Society of Environmental
Geotechnology
(ISEG). The award criterion is the significance of the paper with
respect to original contributions to research advances or professional
practice in environmental geotechnology. The first Hsai-Yang Fang
Research Award was presented at the International Conference on Energy, Environment and Disasters (INCEED)
held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, July 25-30, 2005. The 2005
award was won by Prof. Irene Lo of Hong Kong University of Science
and Technology, Hong Kong, China. A certificate
plus U.S. $1,000 is presented to the winner. The award will
be offered during each biennial symposium. A special committee
will be set up to evaluate papers nominated for the award. To
submit nominations
for the award,
the nomination form should be completed and sent with a copy of
the nominated article within 2 months of the symposium using the electronic
form. |
